Dr. Shoshanna works with individuals and couples who wish to find relief from stress, anxiety, depression, loss, and relationship difficulties. She helps clients discover inner resources, engage in heathy communication and build uplifting, satisfying relationships both with others and themselves. .
She works with a wide variety of life problems and issues, from depression, anxiety and stress relief, to relationship difficulties, grief, loss, and more. Her service brings healing, and a new look at what is possible in life.
Originally trained in dynamic psychology and psychoanalysis, Dr. Shoshanna's background also includes interpersonal relations, humanistic and transpersonal psychology. She is also a long term student of meditation and includes those principles in her work with clients. Dr Shoshanna has also worked for many years with loss, grief and life transitions.
She has lectured and taught about psychology at such institutions as the N.Y. State Psychological Association, Barnard College, John F. Kennedy Medical Center, Center for Practical Nursing, Marymount Manhattan College, Adelphi University and more.
She has published five books about various aspects of psychology such as relationships, mourning, and personal achievement. Her books have been published in over 13 languages.
Her work represents an integration of the emotional, cognitive, practical and spiritual aspects of a person's life. As a result this work often provides new solutions to stubborn problems. All of her treatment is custom designed depending upon the individuals' needs, wishes and goals.
